My old room

I have terrible posture. *straightens spine* there that's better.

So I had a nice weekend at my parent's place. They are depressingly lovable. It's good to be back! I was very eager to come home and move my desk from one side of the room to the other. It turned out to be more work than I imagined but now it's done! Funny how even a medium sized desk in a small-ish room can accumulate so many things which you don't know what to do with so you leave it in a pile on the floor or on the bed and walk away and then when you walk back, you suddenly know what to do with it! Throw it out! Here's a few pictures of what my room looks like now ...

The desk I moved used to be against this wall. It was very cluttered and neither an efficient use of space nor optimally aesthetic. I also cleared a bunch of junk from the bedside table to give it a lighter, cleaner look.

Here is its new location (right side from door).

I love the way my room is now. It's much more streamlined and functional. Looking around makes me very happy and calm-feeling. My laundry basket, my new boots... did I mention I love the way I organized everything?  I think I'm turning into Monica from Friends.

Moving on to the
*ahem* Yin-Yang bed. I am very proud of it.

since I rather like small things that light up, I've decided to move our tree to my room for an indefinite period of time. Till I get sick of it. Which will most likely be never. Look at the pretty splashes of paint color it casts!

aaaand a closeup for those who are myopic -

now for some random snapshots of areas in my room.
