hair cut

so yup don't know if I mentioned this already here but this was my first professionally done haircut so it was kind of a big deal. I felt nervous, excited, all that jazz. The place I went to in Elmhurst was just a few subway stops away, and was recommended to me by a co-worker. It was a nice, decent looking place - the type that is clean and medium sized but with no frills. It felt awkward having someone wash my hair at first but once I relaxed it felt really good. The woman who cut my hair asked me what my name was, and I told her my Chinese name and she was like, oh wow you're parents gave you a really meaningful name! It means that whatever you do in life it'll be good! And I was like, oh! But what does it mean??? And she was like, um.... er.... it's like .... ummm.... ehh...... it just means that your life will always be good! lol ok I'll take that. Unless you're just trying to flatter me because you want me to come back and request you. Hmmmmmmmmmm. She also kept saying in a troubled voice how *thick* my hair is in the back. She thinned it out a lot and it felt so good. I couldn't stop running my fingers through my hair afterwards. It felt so slippery and smooth and light. Like non-rotten, dry, corn tassels.

side:

so yes I had a really good first hair cutting experience. I'm really happy with it and it made me feel SPECIAL. yay.

Also, I ordered 3 CDs on SATURDAY and I got Grey Oceans today! So fast! The other 2 have also already shipped so I should be getting it this week I hope.
