OUT OF MY LEAGUE

[via.]

[via.] (book on the left)

I'm starting a collection. If you know of any other photos of boys and wings send them on over to me.

I desperately need a photo of myself on this blog. I'm so lazy to take one. It might happen tomorrow though. I have an early interview and then the rest of the day ... The letter 'p' on my keyboard has become sticky and unresponsive so my pinky is getting an extra work out. I don't really have anything to blog about...except for these photos, which I saw on my sister's blog and which I am having a [very] delayed appreciation for & thus re-blogging a month later.

Q: Why green?

A: I’m from Nova Scotia, where green is in your surroundings. I missed nature when I moved to New York. I started wearing green nail polish, and it spread all over me.

(Her son's a magician?! She had a paper wedding ring! My hero!)

I sometimes have this thing where I like the foods I eat to be all one color. Eggs, corn, orange juice. This morning I had pomegranate tea (pink/purple) and toast with butter and blueberry jam (also purple-ish pink). I don't know it just feels nice to have things be the same color. And I also love drinking green tea in my green cup and eating salad in the bowl with a green apple on the side.

All of a sudden, this past week, I got calls/emails back for 4 interviews and a email from Queens college saying I got accepted into the Communication Sciences and Disorders major. More on that later. I bought myself a modestly priced new outfit for the interview tomorrow. The cardigan and the dress together was still way cheaper than a pair of dress pants at a store down the block. Speaking of which, nothing makes me feel more deformed than to go into store after store to find that all their pants dangle at least a foot below my foot, and then to *finally* find a store that does have petite sizes only to realize that their size 0 is still too big on me. For a futile moment I wondered if the pants came in negative sizes but then realized that's ridiculous. Egads. I'm really not that small.
