psarokokalo - "tit pincushion" $10

Abitabite - "The prick cushion" $17
"Each Prick Cushion is handmade for you, and has it's own unique look and personality... just like the real mccoy!" (she said it, not me.)
Yeah, Etsy really has everything! The woman who makes the prick cushions also sells handmade uteruses! Yuck, imagine if these were the 'real' thing. yuck yuck yuckkkkkkk. A little bit of the sadist, a lot of tongue in cheek humor. Reminds me of Venus in Furs but reversed (more of the sadistical). I need to buy that book! Also, still really intrigued about Story of O though my phase of wanting to read sexually deviant books has kind of passed. I've satisfied my need to be a rebel of convention with Story of the Eye, hehe. If you're under 15, please ignore these thinly veiled book recommendations completely.
I applied to Trader Joe's with my sister for a part time job this summer. I don't know if Trader Joe's extends outside of the US, so for those of you who don't know what it is, it's supposed to be an 'unconventional' grocery store with a more lax atmosphere, mostly organic products, and MUCH smaller than your typical supermarket. I had really really hoped to avoid retail type jobs BUT ... haven't heard back from the places I applied to (sadface) soooooo I guess this will have to do! It's not 100% guaranteed that both me and my sister will get this job, but it's highly likely since they need people to work nights (til 1am!) and weekends.

Hi! I think I look like Charlie Chaplin here. No??? Flattering myself??? Need a sharpie drawn mustache? No, not sharpie. Human hair! oh speaking of hair, I cut mine a few days ago. The back is majorly shorter. I've always been scared to cut the back because well, it's in the back, you can't see it, hence, easier to make mistakes... but I was in the mood for a bold change in my life, so I did it! I just grabbed clumps of hair and sawed away at it and it turned out good! The side - profile view is a little too rounded (frown) but oh well, we can't be perfect now!
It's annoying how whenever I want change in my life, instead of working on something that might possibly bring drastic long term change, like say, working on my personal statement for the grad school application, I settle for something that only brings (instant) short term change - ie: changing my appearance. That's gotta change.
Just for my own curiousity, I'm going to search Etsy with the term 'sexy' ...

oh bother. I see you've even infected the Etsy-sphere. Begone!
Norwegian wood is still checked out from the library, so I got 2 books about Communist China (The Long March, The Rape of Nanking), a bio of Beatrix Potter (boring so far), and The Chosen by Chaim Potok (Very good! I want to check out Davita's Harp next.)
Beatrix Potter is an amazing woman from what I read on wikipedia ... but this biography is so dull. It's flowery and la dee dah and yes I get it that she had a rich and privileged childhood already, can we move on to her actual person???
I'm holding off on the Rape of Nanking because I can tell it's going to uberly depress me and put me in a morbid mindset as in, oh woe is humanity! What is the point of Life??? so yeah, waiting till I'm in a really good mood to read that. That sounds odd. I'm going to wait till I'm happy and cheery to read a book about the senseless killings and torture of human beings???
