I love this cardigan. It's my mom's but she's worn it like once. I love the color. I love the loose fit. I love that I can wear it with a silvery dragonfly pin.

For those of you who don't live under a (mainstream) rock and are familiar with Joanna Newsom and Miranda July, this is for you!
Man O Man. I liked Miranda quite a bit for this, and a lot for this, but for the video below I LOVE her. (No clue who Colin Self is though!)
This is one of my favorite songs and if I were Joanna I would be totally flattered and take this as the highest form of compliment.
Moving on. So there's this guy, some Luke Jerram artist guy, who came up with a idea. He calls it Plant Orchestra. He's gonna...Then, he's going to play it back in a botanical garden so as you're walking around flower gazing, you can also hear them! Growing! Isn't it marvelous? Maybe it'll sound like a cacophonous mess but it's a cool idea!

"...rig extraordinarily sensitive microphones to all sorts of flora, amplifying the otherwise imperceptible sounds of living plants—to the point that “you can hear plant cells growing and bursting.”
Art that is just pretty is like that really attractive person in high school. I'm not saying the person's not nice. It's not like attractiveness and personality are incompatible. Quite the opposite since people tend to attribute tons of positive traits to attractive people.
Everyone already likes that person anyway. She's easy on the eyes, everyone wants to have her as their friend. Why would you want to like someone who's so easy to like and who everybody already likes without really knowing just because ...
I'm using 'she' because a lot of the Just Pretty art I see on the Internet are made and/or passed on by females. I know expressing my opinions will 99% of the time make a hypocrite out of me. I'm a hypocrite!
OH YEAH so speaking of hypocrites, I was starting to work on a new painting that ... wait for it ... that I wanted to be JUST PRETTY. Because sometimes it's soothing to not have to think too hard and just do what comes easiest, and it's easy for me to paint something pretty. So that's what I was going to do; paint a big face of a girl who somewhat resembles me except make her really ideally pretty. Ahem. It was going well, I got down the base coat for her skin tone ... decided to take a break and realized I had squeezed out too much red and orange paint. Drat I don't want it to dry up and go to waste. Maybe I'll roughly paint in what is supposed to be strange fruit hanging over her head ... And the result ... looks like she has volcanic pustules coming out of her scalp.

Don't worry Ima gonna fix this.
