My dad's been nagging me about applying to grad school again. I don't blame him. It's been ... almost 9 months since I graduated and there's *ahem* no academic progression to be seen. When the topic of grad school comes up, I feel like I'm playing a game of tug o' war with myself. A vague far-away me is pulling, while the me of right now digs her heels in and resists with all her might. I know it needs to get done. Tonight I'll work on the personal statement.
my mom cleaned out her closet and gave me three of her old cardigans. Hooray! She's two sizes bigger than me, so I had to take it in using my trusty sewing machine. I got the black and white rose pin from Etsy, necklace from Mandees. I foresee the inner white shirt getting 'remixed' A LOT in future outfits -it was $5 from TJ Maxx. I wish I had a scrap of black tulle. How cool would that look pinned behind the brooch?! Come to think of it, a whole skirt of black tulle would be freaking awesome.
The other two cardigans are olive green and muted purple. I already sewed the green one, so I'll tailor the purple one some time next week.
